Great game and still expanding. Except for early training missions, CE is not story line based. Great guild system, and many players willing to help. You can play for years and always find more to do. . There is no PVP, Explore galaxies, fight pirates, gather and sell resources. Or craft, CE has the most complex crafting that I've ever seen. Make gear, space ships, settlements, and much more. This is NOT pay to win. It's free to play, although there are store items to make it faster and easier.
Deep content, so many options it is almost bewildering. Graphics, well, it feels like an update to a bbs game, minimal graphics.
Been playing for well over a year now and still amazed at how many activities I havent touched. There is so much to do and Coops keeps adding more. I have never been involved in a game where the developer (Coops) is active each and every day. And the amount of give aways, this game gets my VOTE!

A great way to spend your free time. Core Exiles has a huge breadth of things to do for however much time and motivation you have to play in a day, from a couple minutes to many hours. After nearly five years of playing I've still got so much more to do, and with the game still being actively developed I can easily see myself here for another five years and beyond. No direct PvP, thankfully, but plenty of ways to both collaborate and compete with each other. All this, backed up by a terrific community. - Zoorland

Too much good to say about the game. I kept making this post TL;DR Core Exiles is one of the best games I have ever played. The artwork is beautiful, the game is still being developed and expanded, and it's been active and stable for 10 years. Come try it out. It may not be for you. Or it may be one of the best games you have ever played. Captain Bloodskye, 2 years and counting.

I have been playing the game for over a year and its one game i keep going back to having fun with all the friendly poeple who play and enjoying a game that keeps your mind working. there is alsway something new to find i hope to keep playing the game for many many years to come

A unique game that works your mind more than your reflexes. Many options available to guide your Adventures. Space Combat and Space Trading has been my Mainstays. You can Craft Weapons along with Cargo Expanders...Shields...Hull Repairs and Armor Repairs. You can place a Settlement on a distant Planet. Exploration of the known Universe is available. I've played a lot of Space browser games and find Core Exiles to excel in player engagement and complexity. Though it can be hard to break into, it is definitely worth giving a try. The development team and player base are regular features and you see real activity from all sides, all the time.
For me the best space game ever published. It is a "Frontier: Elite" like game, If you played that mithical game. NO PVP so no AGGRO. A lot of professions to do: mining, combat, crafting,recycling, hauling. Actually I am focusing on settlement, another interesting activity.
I've been hooked ever since I started almost a month ago. It's a good game with lots of depth and a myriad of things that you, as an imaginary captain of a fake ship, could do . It's very open so you could play at your own pace. If you're looking for a space sim that isn't just about blasting other people out of the sky, give this game a go.

Core-Exiles has everything you could ever want in a casual space game, its got real strategy, player driven economy with over 600 resources to collect, extract, create. asteroids to mine, nebula's to harvest, over 100 ships to build and buy, space stations to build. 100's of planets to explore and even claim. With 6 fully explorable Galaxy's and 1000's of planets, where will you leave your mark? Core-Exiles your destiny awaits.
Best game you'll find if you are looking for a fun game with no focus on PvP and flashy things (aka PC memory drains). You have alot of choices for playing it differently from others and can play at your own pace. It can be a little overwhelming for the new player, so be patient and do ask on chat, they do go the extra mile to help you ;).

This is a wonderful game for those of us who don't want to pick on other players. It has been running for over 10 years (though I am much more recent) and even the veteran players still seem to find it fresh and involving. Captain GreyBeard.

I wonderful game with a helpful, friendly, mature group of players. Depth of game play, not memory draining graphics, is the focus here and it delivers. Play a lot, play a little, no worries about being attacked by other players, losing what you've earned through inactivity, or having to pursue "missions" that you have no interest in. Great game. this game will suck you in like a black hole. And there is a very friendly bunch of people there who have also been clearly caught in it's gravity....So much depth with so much to do...i play most days, and there has been very few online games that have ever made me do that....only been playing a few months, wish i found core exiles years ago!
